The Academy Day
Our academy day is carefully structured to provide a calm start to the morning, clear learning sessions, and appropriate break times for all pupils.
Morning Arrival
The school gates open between 8:30am and 8:35am, allowing children to enter the playground and prepare for the start of the day. Staff are on duty to supervise during this time.
The academy day officially begins at 8:50am, and pupils are expected to be in their classrooms and ready to learn by this time.
Morning Session
The morning learning session runs from 8:50am until lunchtime.
Morning breaktime takes place from 10:40am to 11:00am, giving children the opportunity to rest, play, and socialise before returning to their lessons.
Lunchtime
Lunchtime is organised in stages to ensure a calm and enjoyable experience for all pupils:

Reception: 11:45am – 12:45pm

Year 1 and Year 2 (Key Stage 1): 12:00pm – 1:00pm

Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 (Key Stage 2): 12:15pm – 1:00pm
During lunchtime, pupils have time to eat their meal and enjoy outdoor play under staff supervision.
Afternoon Session
The afternoon learning session runs from 12:45pm or 1:00pm (depending on year group) until 3:20pm.
Afternoon breaktime takes place from 2:05pm to 2:20pm, giving pupils a chance to recharge before the final part of the school day.
End of the Day
The academy day finishes at 3:20pm, when pupils are dismissed.
Total Learning Time
The total compulsory time spent in school is 32.5 hours per week, in line with national expectations.
